I think that I will wrap up my autobiographical musical - TopicsExpress

I think that I will wrap up my autobiographical musical exploration with a few more posts covering the the 80s and 90s to now. A few artists have been standouts for me during this period, and they continue to follow the folk/pop rock dichotomy established early. Of course, just as Dylan and The Beatles were influenced by each other, so are many of my favorites the product of similarly converging impulses. My first from this group is special to me in several ways. When I ran across her recordings in the mid-80s, I found someone with a lovely voice and a great feel for melody who also had a knack for powerful lyrics coupled to a great sense of humor. Cheryl Wheeler is more than merely a great singer/songwriter, she is a marvelous performer and a very gifted humorist as well. As wonderful as her recordings are, her live performances are even better. I am proud to present these videos from my YouTube channel, Head, Hand and Heart Music, that I had the great good fortune to record and post with Cheryls permission. From a 2012 performance with Kenny White (whose great earlier set from the evening is also available at the aforementioned site) at Caltech sponsored by the Caltech Folk Music Society. https://youtube/watch?v=PSr1vT-pkKo
