I think that Merry Christmas is a must!! However, sometimes I want to let people know that I hope their Christmas and their New Years holidays are the best....that is when I used to say Happy Holidays....it was never meant to replace Merry Christmas....but to include it! Now, I am being a Bah Humbugger when I say it. Too bad that political correctness has taken the nice meaning out of Happy Holidays as well as so many other phrases that we used to say but are afraid to say them now for fear of being ostracized!!
