I think that a house thats has been brought after 19 50 and is being used for a rental unit should not be protected under the Grandfather Cluase when it comes to the electrical outlets and wiring . When a request for a rental permit is submitted the owner should be given one year to change the two prong outlets to three. This doesnt mean they have to rewire the property but they van reground the wiring . Yes its a little difficult and some what expensive . It cosys around $4000 to do . Most of the houses here in Baltimore were built in the 1920s or before . We use alot more electricity now causing a fire hazard for the houses protected by this cluase. What is Baltimore saying to the people that a property owners $4000 is more valuable than a precious life . Just a little something for the people in charge to think about
