I think that many of the womens rights advocates are just defending the right of women to take off their clothes. Putting on clothes is seen as a sign of retrogression & retardation. The problem here is that this is a reductionist manner that supposes that womens problems are summarized in their right to take off some of their clothes. I shall go further and say that this view is a manifestation of that way of thinking which sees women as bodies only, which is an accusation offered by those advocates against the Conservative or Religious people.
