I think that the nerve gear will not only be a helmet, but a full suit, then the suit would pick up what the brain tell the body to do, and the helmet is for see in the game and hear, and rest is for picking up the signal the brain send, so it would be like the nerve gear in sword art online, the only diffrent would be that you needed to have a suit, so your real body dont move all the time you in the game, it would deny the real body to move, and when the helmet is of, then the suit is deactivated and you can move your body, you could still be playing without the suit, but then your body would move like your virtual body, and that isnt so good, it could lead to your or other death
