I think that was an excellent video. What I do have to say on - TopicsExpress

I think that was an excellent video. What I do have to say on that, Mr. Prager, is that I am an observant Jew, and I vehemently oppose capital punishment. The basis for my opposition IS the Torah. You see capital punishment in Judaism was never really able to be carried out. In order to carry out a capital punishment, two witnesses have to witness the murder, plus they must warn the murderer that he will be sentenced to the death penalty in a court of law. In order to make sure that this murderer has heard them properly he must respond to their warning by saying that he will do it anyway. Then comes the cross examination of the witnesses by the court itself, in which the judges act as their defense attorney for the murderer, which in most cases the court will rule that the person is innocent. CONFESSION is not considered evidence in the court of law at all. In fact, if someone gets up and confesses in a court of law they will tell him to sit down and be quiet - no one is asking his opinion. This is unlike an American court of law where all a person has to do is convince the jury and show them coerced confession from the defendant. In my opinion, the American justice system is crooked. There are so many people that are falsely executed every year. Therefore I am against the capital punishment in the United States, and if I were to serve on a jury I would never, ever listen to a confession as evidence.
