I think that while his suggestion has merit I see the problem as deeper. Democracy and capitalism are both fantastic - but fatally flawed! Yes, they are fatally flawed because without morality woven through the fabric of that said democracy or capitalistic structure it will self destruct. What we are dealing with, the cancer, is a severe lack of morality in both our democracy and capitalistic leadership. The change has to come from all of us! We, as business owners, voters, local political office holders, employees, and citizens MUST start behaving with integrity and morality. Otherwise, our fate is already set and we will continue to find it difficult to "pull out" of the economic woes we have. We may have temporary up ticks, manufactured by tweeking our broken systems - but those will be followed by deeper and more impactful downturns. Just look at the past 20 years! We are already in this cycle.
