I think the Bottom line is that something better be done to reign in inflation in this town for EVERYONE or many valuable people of varying skills will be forced to move and give way to progress. Definition of Denver Progress-: The opening of recreational marijuana facilities which attracted a large influx of people and money to said facilities. These facilities in turn share only the amount taxed by the state, and no more. There is no trickle down. The State in all of its corruptness will no doubt spend it on things that are likely short-sighted and some will be scraped off the top. Meanwhile an influx of hypocritical middle class hipsters move in and tear down Denver landmarks in favor of gentrification. They take neighborhood-sized cookie-cutter molds the shape of large squares and STAMP!!! Voilà! Now you have a Heidis, a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, IKEA, Starbucks, and a Smoothie store! HOORAY for Gentrification!......................................If this is what you want, then assume that your artists, vets and skilled laborers arent needed enough to figure out a way for them to stay. You will be left with a big yuppitized strip mall. Generic. Bland. Containing only conformist Character. Congratulations Denver. Welcome to Scottsdale.
