I think the last time I posted, I reported that the pain doc would not give me the epidural injection for fear of renewing the infection, which would be, to use his term, a disaster. I saw him again yesterday, when he gave me a pain med prescription that is only marginally better than what I had before. The pain doc referred me to the surgeon, who can, I am told, perform some sort of surgery to relieve the pain. Okay. Back to the cutter where the earliest appointment I could get is Jan 9, a month away--and that will be just to schedule the procedure. I was hoping for better. Talk about a Blue Christmas. I am going to see Jane Chances surgeon for a second opinion. I was really counting on the injection ; now it is more waiting for an outcome to be determined. As Mr. Taggert in Blazing Saddles would say, I am depressed.
