I think the message re: boycotting black friday is muddled, messy and unfocused. Im unsure of its usefulness. Im unsure of its effect. I sort of get the premise. But ya..I suppose I just remember growing up on welfare, food stamps, section 8..and yearning all year long for just one new toy, so I could at least pretend to be normal (read: like the white kids/friends across town)..and knowing that Black friday was the only time my Black family could afford to get me/our family anything resembling new/functional and that day, meant a lot to us all. So yea..I just..idk..carry-on.
