I think the reason why I like Stein and Maka so much, aside from their awesome bond, is mainly how I feel like I can relate to them both at the same time. Like, theres a side of me of wanting to go on a massacre and over-analyzing people from time to time, along with taking things apart and putting them together to better understand things whilst always being curious and continuing forward without regrets, no matter if its for the better or worse, because everyone has a reason behind the things they do. Stein has his reasons for dissecting. Maka has her reasons for continuing her studies and being the best meister. Sure, every other character of this series, or even from other series, does that, too, but I feel like these two express it the best. To add onto that, my favorite thing about Stein is when he loses himself, theres always a light that pulls him out of it (that being Marie). Then, at other times, when people see him at wrong, hes able to STILL rationalize with a person either hating his logic or becoming angry for whatever reason. Sure, it takes a while, but it eventually gets done. And thats another thing to add, his patience x,D Thats where its all like Maka. Sure. Maka has a short-fuse, and I wont lie. Depending on what happens or what gets said, you better expect a smack across the face (either with an actual hit or with words). Maka still tries in the end, but she takes a while in figuring things out. I, too, take a while to figure things out sometimes. The only catch, seeing as that might be the safest way to call it, between my relation with these two characters would be that theyll stand their ground and accept wrongness, but thats almost never the case, and when thats the case, theyll take it as a learning experience and question it rather than shrug it off like nothing. The only other thing I can add onto this would be to not expect any changes on my part, unless Ive learned something [beneficial] from said scenario. Now, why Im sharing this? Ive no idea x,D I felt like now was an appropriate time to do so.
