I think the turning point for me was the reality of observing - TopicsExpress

I think the turning point for me was the reality of observing people in a small village in Afghanistan living in the total absence of national, state, or district government. Should have been a utopia, right? Pure market capitalism for goods, no district, state, or national taxes to pay, no police, no formal courts, no mayor. … You know what they have? Feudalism. … Anarchy is that instant before feudalism when the strong exert and impose their liberties at the expense of liberty for the weak. —a commenter in another Facebook thread, Vincent Amor, who gets that anarchism, like communism, is not sustainable and always, immediately degenerates into the rule of the bully. Dont believe me? Get in a discussion with an anarchist, and seemingly inevitably the anarchist will become aggressive, often speaking in favor of violence toward those they dont like, and often making bigoted statements, often against Jews. Too many anarchists incorrectly call themselves libertarians. Many are anarchist for libertine reasons, not understanding the libertarian truth that the actions of one person often have consequences for other persons, infringing on their rights. Some actions are and should be illegal, and we need some government (not a lot) to help us secure our rights. Especially against anarchist bullies.
