I think the worst part about living in the mid-west is constantly being surrounded by trashy people. I honestly do not understand the redneck & white trash personality around Missouri. I see pics on fb of all these ppl at a local country concert and it boggles my mind. These otherwise ordinary, city ppl are somehow transformed into "country" ppl with cowboy hats and boots. The worst part is the urban pop, country singers themselves are not even country, but that is another story (they do own big, lifted trucks when not driving their prius in Cali). What is so wrong with wanting to better yourself? I find the term redneck completely offensive, and yet to so many it is a badge of honor around here. To me, using the term redneck is no different than calling a black person a n*#$- r, but then again I guess their race has the same problem amongst themselves.... lol, I guess the real problem is how do we stop all the stupid ppl from out breeding the rest of us. Apparently natural selection favors a lower IQ, :)
