I think this #YesAllWomen thing is a great movement for women.. They are able to open up and share their experiences and could actually be protecting other women or being their support in knowing they arent alone. However, as I read article after article I cant help but wonder if people realize that its just hard to be a human... In general... Its hard to be a woman because youre constantly under the pressure of other women and feel criticized by men.. Its hard to be Native American, Black, Asian, etc. because youre always stereotyped because of the color of your skin.. Its hard to be white because youre blamed for past events that have nothing to do with you now.. Its hard to be a working mom because you dont get to spend time with your children... Its hard to be stay at home mom because you dont credit for the time/effort/sacrifices that you make to support your family... Its hard to be a single parent because you do it alone... Its hard to be a married parent because you have to consult someone else for EVERY decision you make with your children. All.of.them... Its hard to be a frickin mom in general. Get a shot, dont get a shot. Whatever.. Its hard to be gay because its not only hard to find acceptance but the people that choose not not accept you generally think you are probably just going straight to hell... Its hard to be religious because youre judge for your beliefs.. Ironically enough, its hard to be agnostic for the same reasons... So really, its just hard to be human... So why it takes a handful of crazies to address inequality is beyond me... BUT if you just stop hating each other NOW or refusing to even try to understand the hardships other people face women wouldnt even have to tweet about how unfair it is to be a woman. It is unfair! If you havent been in an abusive relationship, you might end up in one some day... And if you dont, good for you on being one of the lucky ones! But ultimately, we all have choices. People can be ignorant... YOUR choice is whether or not you buy into it, feed the stereotype, or even get upset about it. And I clearly need to keep a journal instead of a Facebook lol. Sorry, not sorry!
