I think this ZANU PF saga has garnered lots of undue traction at the expense of progress and development. The fact that Gushungo is deemed an indomitable hero by his loyal support does not add any value to the prevailing woes. We have corruption, power hunger, greed, multiple farm ownership, covetousness, diamond revenue accounts issues, clean water issues, infrastructure challenges and a waning education and health sector. Despite so called zimasset theories which have been advanced without an iota of proven change we are heading to darker days. Now the politiburo internal drama has stolen the moments. Nothing is moving. Industrialisation remains stagnant. Where are we going with this Gushungo invincible mindset? What would the first family change in 2014 after 34 years of undisturbed power control. I see many of us cheering for the handful elite to enjoy Zimbabwe as the masses suffer and wallow in poverty. By the end of the day, while free speech is key, we should stand up and condemn the rancid maladies of our time. Truth be told, ZANU PF, thru the hands of a selfish few, has destroyed a Great Zimbabwe. A decade from today, Somalia could be a better state.... And we still sing and cheer and assure these technocrats that they remain the best in Africa. What a sad reality for my fellow countrymen!
