I think this article is consistent with my thoughts about Kins too. Im sad to see him go, but I understand the Rangers to contend for another WS birth have to fill the holes they need. Logjam of young talent up the middle, no doubt means moving Kinsler makes the most sense. I am pretty happy about that when you consider the Gers got a legitimate 29 year old POWER bat in his prime. Ian to me will always be one of the most under appreciated DFW athletes of all time. Great guy in the community, all around solid ballplayer on the field, one of those guys in the clubhouse that made watching the Rangers fun to watch. Always seemed to be one of the first guys on the field to celebrate a walk off HR or hit. He had a unique chemistry up the middle with Elvis Andrus, they were one of the top middle infields in the game in turning double plays. One of the games best at going first to third! 2-times over 30/30 seasons for Kins, one of only 12 players to accomplish that in the games history! With that being said, I cant wait to stand up and applaud him on his first plate appearance on his first trip back to Arlington. He represented the Rangers well! Part of the core that elevated this franchise to uncharted territory, and he provided me with my greatest baseball souvenir ever! My one word to describe him, BALLPLAYER!
