I think this has occurred to many of us, lol. However, the skills we be needing in the future may not be technological at all. The lack of life skills should be worrying us more...and is more an indictment of our lack of smartness than anything else. No one needs to be a genius to figure that great change is upon us; even if we dont know the facts of it from the media, most are feeling it in some way. Its not so much a question of whether but when. Ah, but its not as if a bell is going to ring and we will get to. Or is it? There is one date I have in my head, which may not be a watershed necessarily, but on the 8 March 2015, Pluto moves into the 54th gate. Pluto has never been in the 54th gate. Pluto wasnt discovered until 1930, so therefore had no issue. Certainly where esoteric systems go it would be safer to say he was invented as well as discovered at this time. We detected a ball of ice dust so small that would fit into the southern States, at a great phenomenal distance from the earth, and imbued it with immense power over us through some mythological archetype hand-me-down from the Greeks. Great. But if youre a Pluto watcher, he leaves one in little doubt as to his role in events large and small. He reigns over the cycle of life, over birth, death and rebirth, so revolution. He reigns over the underworld, the subconscious, and hidden truth and discoveries. We are certainly seeing his machinations in the gate of Opposition (38) at present, the run up to the 54 crunch in some respects. In March 2015, Pluto and Uranus will have returned from their retrogrades and will be entering an exact square again, so shocks, earthquakes and the like are in the running. Jupiter will be entering gate 7 of the role of self/army. Channel 45/21 is defined then, indicating that war is on for resources (as if it wasnt already; people in the States are being locked up at present for collecting rainwater and growing vegetables). As regards the 54, it is said to be the gate of enlightenment/endarkenment, and supposedly the ultimate yin-yang nature of the two - indicating that Pluto will come into his own as great darkness falls, and we have the opportunity to find the light within it. The North node will be in Libra at this time - so a fight for justice and equality is the path out of darkness. Perhaps we are in our darkest hour already, and the 54 is the coming of the light (?). The 54.4 is said to be the most extraordinary line of the I Ching....perhaps the time of reckoning for us all. Anyway, what I wanted to say was a typical 19th gate thing to say, which is stock up on food and survival gear. Even if it never becomes necessary, its always useful. Fun even. Oil lamps are so much nicer than electric ones during power cuts, and my kids love their walkie talkies. We take them to town, and it makes people laugh, but hey, theyre actually cooler than mobiles :p
