Here are two intelligent men, one declares himself a liberal, one plays a conservative on TV, both with the same blind, simplistic outlook on the tragedy of terrorist attacks. I think theyre both horribly wrong on this issue. You may disagree, and I can even see that side, to a point. But thats not what is interesting to me. Whats unique here is seeing two sworn enemies (and thats what liberals and conservatives are now, right?) in total agreement on condescension, hubris, shallow disregard and prejudice toward a group of 1.6 billion humans. How ironic that the two hostile US ideologies have, on this of all topics, found some common ground.
