I think this qualifies as a separate but related thread to the one about Sonic the Hedgehog and its music. I think this is probably the first piece of music from a film - i.e a piece that was written for other reasons than just writing music - that I ever fell in love with. I used to hear it on the Light Programme in our kitchen in Roundhay, Leeds. I always made stories out of music when I heard stuff I liked. So of course I came to love this piece before ever seeing the film. I still do, it gives me goosebumps, excites me, makes me yearn for adventure and the open road. Its so Prog too... i have versions of Bob Dylan songs by The Nice where they interrupt Bobs She Belongs To Me with parts of this. And my story?
