I think we can officially call 24 Hour challenge 2014 a huge success! Just want to say a huge massive thank you to the Affiliates who took part. HillSide CrossFit 28, Crossfit For Fitness Canning Vale 18, Crossfit Fibre 25, CrossFit Dignus 20, Perth Elite Chix 10, Crossfit_Access 28, Crossfit 6100 28, Inner City Crossfit, CrossFit Artax 19, The CrossFit Chamber 42 and the Raw Edge CrossFit boys and girls who dropped in from 2am onwards to help get us to the finish line! The total haul? 315 presents and over $2000 for the Smith’s Family Charity (more to donations to come)! Last year we totalled 128 presents and $1647. It was a pleasure to come and visit you at your own houses of fitness. There really is nothing like a CrossFit box! Other commercial gym’s may have the money and resources to throw behind it, but seeing the owners own time, sweat equity, tears, creativity and in a lot of cases life savings on display is unique and can’t be beat, they all have their own unique character. The other part that blew us away was the time commitment of the members, all the smiling faces that greeted us and gave up time on their Saturday to workout with some weary travellers and donate some much needed presents for kids in need, was humbling and greatly appreciated. Your all doing sensational work with your Affiliates and WA can be proud of its tight nit relationships, friendships and how far we’ve all come in 2015. Let’s hope we can maintain these relationships as this community grows. Huge thank you to my own Frantic members, we raised 100 presents as a gym and had 8 people complete the gruelling 24 hours of workouts, sleep deprivation and all. That is not far of a present a member! Also to all the members who dropped in and wodded for 1 wod or 20, you kept us honest and putting in to finish, your all legends. Big thanks to all the sponsors for getting onboard aswell with the After Christmas Raffle (coming soon) Pentanga, Pennygarden Restaurant, Zoo Food, Progenex, Phatwod, Liquid Surf Kwinana, Thrifty Car Rental, Body Analytics, LaCoupe for Hair, Reebok Australia and all the rest of you who pitched in to help. Next year we will endeavour to get down south and up north, many ideas in the works but for now, Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year we look forward to hanging out with you all in the new year.
