I think we need to also add to our research places that do not allow pets and those who have weight and breed restrictions. I have been trying like mad to find places that will allow my two dogs. Out of about 30 I have tried not a single place allows huskies or dogs over 30 lbs. this is a HUGE factor we need to address to the statistical numbers. If only a tiny fraction of rental properties only allow small breeds and most of the animals in shelters are large breed, that is generally why they are her here. Also when a large majority of rental homes/apartments have a huge list of restricted breeds, this also complicates the numbers. Obviously we cannot force adopters to take pets when they can lose their homes and deposits by doing so. Sorry, end rant lol
