I think weve reached the point at which television commercials cant become any more personal/offensive. Hi! Id like to take a moment to discuss prolapsed hemorrhoids! bellows the cap-toothed shill -- as if he were a dear, childhood friend of the viewers. That aint all, though. Oh, no! Todays purveyors of this or that nostrum arent content to stop at the alimentary canal. Yer boy wakes up around midnight, and heads to the john. On the screen, Michael Myers is playing the human cuisinart through the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois. Suddenly, our rubber-masked slasher is replaced by a slinky critter best described as a MILF, who informs us that half of all men over forty suffer from some form of erectile dysfunction. Not what youd call subtle. Next year, itll probably be: Are you a GO-rilla with no BO-nana? or No lead in yer pencil? Then try Priapex! Jaysus, Just when you think TV has hit the rock-bottom of tastelessness, you find that theres a layer beneath it... ~D
