I think what the president has done shows the kind of man he is. And if we choose to look at the positives in all this then i think kenyan football has finally had its prayers answered. Finally we have a president who cares atleast for the national team if not kenyan football. Something weve all been longing for. Its now up to the football leaders to use him in lifting up the standard of the game in the country. Yes maybe the team would have held a training camp in SA for example on our way to Lesotho instead and yes it was not fair on the u17 team to not participate in their qualifiers. But is that really a concern of the president of kenya? Kuna watu hiyo ndiyo kazi yao(fkf). They are the ones who would have came to him with such a proposal for a camp and a cry for the president to help the u17 participate in their qualifiers. The President and the 1st lady just did what a proud harambee stars supporter would have done to reward a fete to the best of his ability or in a way he thought fiting. We cant blame him for that. Alafu in football success is not only achieved on the pitch. There is already a very impressive spirit in the team at the moment. This trip can act as a team building exercise to further strengthen the spirit in the team.5 days for the players together in such an environment, can go along way in building a very strong comoradery in the group. Great teams that have achieved success like the italian team of 2006 that won the world cup,the spanish team that won the 2010 world cup and back to back euro cups and the great brazilian team of akina socrates and Zico, hear them talk of their success and achievements and all they talk about is the spirit and friendship that was in the team. So lets Just Thank president and Pray that we achieve this in this Trip. To the players Going to brazil, safe journey and msipige tu picha, absorb the atmosphere. Feel how it is to be and participate in such an happening, then take it back with you and lets go face lesotho like hungry lions and do the presidents generosity JUSTICE!
