I thought I thought I was in love with you Or I saw you being in love with me I thought you were my fiance Or you were the one I found in a dream I thought you were the girl I saw at school Or its my wish which lacked the strength of a horse I thought It was a snake lying on my lawn Or a length of a hose pipe which I bemoan Its really scaring Though one may remain less caring I thought I was starring Not knowing the vision was blurring I thought the day has turned into a one big shadow Since daylight had gone How can one spot a shadow in darkness? I thought I was moving in a taxi Yet my feet had no movement It was just a thought of that moment I thought It was best to stay calm To have good omen with all men I thought,as a young child I cannot take care of myself I only realised whilst sitting on the toilet seat That I can take care of myself I was myopic in my judgement I thought having a wife Was having all I need in life Not knowing we wont thrive But we will have strife I thought the bee had a jive Not knowing it was protecting its hive I thought my spirit does not last a day As dream stops life from reccurring Is sleep a temporary form of death? Does health matter in a day Will our efforts to pursue our dreams pay? All I thought to be real Is no longer what I feel In all my life I had thoughts Though now contrary to my feelings No more optional thoughts, I will stick to my dealings. Copyright@jamesmakina 2014.
