I thought I would bring everyone up to date on my contest prep. I - TopicsExpress

I thought I would bring everyone up to date on my contest prep. I am no longer doing the NPC show in Lakewood, Ohio on March 28. A conflict came up with my husbands travel schedule for work. Unfortunately, he will be traveling the entire week leading up to the show. After talking to many competitors and reading a lot on the topic, trying to manage everything without the help of Drew is not a good idea. Peak week entails hair and nail appointments, getting in last minute workouts, prepping and packing food, packing clothes and other necessities for the show, and being carb and water depleted, In addition to those things, I have to manage a house with four children who have busy schedules. Instead, I have my eyes set on the Natural Muscle Association Great Lakes Bodybuilding Championship in Erie, PA on March 21, one week earlier. I have been training hard in the gym consistently and for the most part staying on track with the nutrition plan. I have enjoyed the holidays, no doubt, but dont seem to have had any setbacks from being a little looser with food. My weight is staying the same with a slight drop in body fat. Im basically right where I need to be. Still trying to develop more width in my lats for that V-taper look. I do have a glute-hamstring tie-in muscle strain/pull that I am trying to work through. I will meet with my coach next week to discuss if this will set me back with training and possibly prohibit me from bringing my best to the stage. If this muscle pull causes me to reconsider competing in March, most likely I will not compete in the near future. This being due to spring break and summer approaching. As much as I would like to cross it off my bucket list, I am not one to sacrifice good times with family and friends. I will not spend my entire spring break nor summer in a gym and denying myself of foods and drinks. Most of you know how much I advocate being healthy, but still enjoying life without constant restrictions. The timing has to be right. Below are a couple pictures from this morning at the gym. Im wearing a new tank my sister-in-law, Emily, got for me for Christmas. It may be hard to read. It says, Dont Need a Permit for These Guns Key West, FL. She lives there. I
