I thought I would demonstrate my version of a drop back, as I - TopicsExpress

I thought I would demonstrate my version of a drop back, as I watch many videos of people doing it seemingly so perfectly, with their heels remaining on the floor. However, its really important to remember that every BODY is different. It has taken me a long time to do able to do this. First it starts with a fear of falling back and not catching yourself, then the challenge is getting back up which is even harder. We create our own mind games of I cant and needing 3 rocks before getting up etc. Even when I was going through a very emotional time I went from doing my drop backs without worry, to not being able to get back up. I found to beat my own mind games it was important to challenge myself to give myself enough confidence that yes I can do this! I own you drop backs :p so I went from rocking 3 times, to 2 and now I can land and get up with relative ease without having to rock. So as you can see, my drop backs are not pretty or perfect. For me, my heels always come off the floor because thats just the way it is, whether its because of my upper back and shoulders or hips flexors Im still not sure... But this is the way I do it and thats ok because at the end of the day, what is perfect or correct if its whats right for your body right now? And... Is there any such thing as perfect or the right way to do something? Xxx
