I thought I would share some recent insurance experience with you. I have had some difficulty insuring our cottage because of water access, the value and the distance from the fire hall at Honey Harbour. I spent some considerable time this summer researching alternatives and was very pleased with the end result from Rice in Kitchener. In the end, I was able to reduce my cottage premium by about 25% for similar coverage and also save a bit on the premiums for my city house and boats.
