Dave Madden, who played manager Rueben Kincaid on The Partridge Family, died of congestive heart and kidney failure. He was 82. January 16th . . . Four-foot tall minx Ruth Duccini, one of the Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz, died of natural causes at the age of 95. Theres now only one Munchkin left alive. His name is Jerry Marren, and hes 94. January 27th . . . Folk singer Pete Seeger died of natural causes. He was 94. February 2nd . . . Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Hed overdosed on heroin. February 25th . . . Original Dating Game host Jim Lange was done in by a heart attack. He was 81. March 15th . . . Comedian David Brenner lost his battle with cancer. He was 78. March 17th . . . Mick Jaggers girlfriend LWren Scott committed suicide. She was 49. March 23rd . . . Dave Brockie died of a drug overdose. He was 50 years old. Dave was better known as Gwar singer Oderus Urungus. The band gave him a Viking funeral, then replaced him with a woman named Vulvatron who shoots blood from her boobs. April 5th . . . Chubby comedian John Pinette died at the age of 50. He was reportedly suffering from liver and heart disease. April 6th . . . The great Mickey Rooney died at the age of 93. Sadly, his estate was only worth $18,000 and he owed back taxes. But at least he got to come back one last time for the third Night at the Museum movie. April 7th . . . Bob Geldofs daughter Peaches died of a heroin overdose. She was only 25. Her mother Paula Yates had also died of a heroin overdose, back in 2000. April 8th . . . WWE legend The Ultimate Warrior, a.k.a. Jim Hellwig, died of a heart attack at the age of 54. Three days before his death, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The night before he died, he appeared on Monday Night Raw. April 21st . . . Boxer Ruben Hurricane Carter died after a battle with prostate cancer. He was 76. Carter was wrongfully convicted of murder and spent 19 years in jail. His plight was the subject of a Bob Dylan song and a Denzel Washington movie. April 29th . . . Who Framed Roger Rabbit? star Bob Hoskins died of pneumonia. He was 71. May 18th . . . Old-school crooner Jerry Vale died after years of declining health. He was 83. May 28th . . . American treasure Maya Angelou died at the age of 86. June 1st . . . Ann B. Davis, better known as Alice on The Brady Bunch, died at the age of 88. This one was pretty tragic, because Ann was in good health. She died after falling and hitting her head. June 5th . . . Legendary baseball player and coach Don Zimmer died at the age of 83. Hed been in the hospital for quite a while, after undergoing heart surgery. June 9th . . . Rik Mayall died unexpectedly at the age of 56. He was best known for Drop Dead Fred and the British cult TV series The Young Ones. Theres no word on the cause of death. June 10th . . . Actress and Civil Rights activist Ruby Dee died at the age of 91. June 15th . . . Radio and TV legend Casey Kasem died at the age of 82. In addition to American Top 40, Casey was also the voice of Shaggy on the Scooby Doo cartoons and Robin on the old Super Friends cartoon. June 16th . . . Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn succumbed to cancer. He was only 54. June 24th . . . Actor Eli Wallach from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly died at the age of 98. June 28th . . . Meshach Taylor from Designing Women died of colorectal cancer. He was 67. July 11th . . . The last of the original Ramones, drummer Tommy, died of bile duct cancer. He was 65. July 16th . . . Albino blues guitarist Johnny Winter died at the age of 70. July 17th . . . Elaine Stritch passed away at the age of 89. She was a Broadway actress who played Alec Baldwins mother on 30 Rock. July 19th . . . James Garner died after suffering a heart attack. He was 86. His credits included The Rockford Files and the movie The Notebook. August 11th . . . Robin Williams committed suicide at his home in San Francisco. He had first tried to cut his wrists with a pocket knife, then hung himself with a belt. He was only 63. August 12th . . . Lauren Bacall died after suffering a stroke. She was 89 years old. And YACHT ROCK superstar Bertie Higgins reaped all the benefits. August 18th . . . Longtime Saturday Night Live announcer Don Pardo died at the age of 96. Former SNL cast member Darrell Hammond replaced him. August 24th . . . Richard Attenborough succumbed to . . . well . . . life. He died at the age of 90. He directed Gandhi and played the old guy who brings back the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. September 4th . . . Joan Rivers passed away after spending a week on life support following complications from a botched medical procedure. She was 81. September 10th . . . Richard Kiel . . . the GIANT who played Jaws in a couple James Bond movies . . . passed away. Most likely from a heart attack. October 4th . . . Paul Revere, from the band Paul Revere and the Raiders, died of cancer. He was 76. October 9th . . . Former Saturday Night Live cast member Jan Hooks died at the age of 57. She had some kind of cancer. October 24th . . . Marcia Strassman lost her battle with breast cancer. She was only 66 years old. She played Mrs. Kotter on Welcome Back Kotter. October 25th . . . Cream bassist Jack Bruce succumbed to liver disease. He was 71. November 1st . . . Wayne Static from Static X died at the age of 48. His death may have been drug-related, but his family denies it. November 19th . . . Director Mike Nichols died of a heart attack at the age of 83. He directed The Graduate, and was Diane Sawyers husband.
