I thought that this action research was very interesting and effective. I have realized that most students do not like revising and editing their writing because it is both time consuming and seen as ‘pointless”. However using twitter makes them need and want to revise their writing. Tweeting also allows them to learn the importance of syntax which is essential for writing. A classroom twitter helps students, teachers, and parents stay connected throughout the day. Parents can check in on their kids day to day activities whenever they like. As a parent I have endured the “I don’t know” or “nothing” answers whenever I asked my kids about their school day. As a teacher I want my students to be able to express themselves and for their parents to be involved in their education. I like that through using twitter the teacher can incorporate more into the lesson. Not only do students learn to condense their writing, editing and reading they also become aware of internet safety. The internet and technology have become such an important part of today’s society and young kids are not always properly taught how to use the internet in a safe and productive way. This activity I believe teaches that. The use of Chirbit is exciting for students. They can read and speak into a microphone and can be excited about their work. especially when they can share it with their family at home. I think this builds their self esteem and can help them enjoy reading and make it seem exciting. #Education_Technology #تكنولوجيا #التعليم
