I thought the Kings record after this road trip would be 2-2. - TopicsExpress

I thought the Kings record after this road trip would be 2-2. Unfortunately, the Kings are going back home 1-3. I felt confident the Kings would defeat the Suns, and they did, I thought they would also record a win over the Thunder, but it seemed like they looked past the Thunder since Durant and Westbrook werent playing, and took them too lightly. Yet, we still played the Thunder tough until the end. The Dallas Mavericks game was a heartbreaker, but this game against the Memphis Grizzlies was like getting our hearts ripped out of our chests. We blew two huge leads two games in a row, that is just unacceptable. Even if you thought Hollins tipped the entry pass with his finger or fingers(which I dont), or if thought Lee didnt have a enough time to catch and shoot with three-tenths of a second left(which I dont, you can only tap it in), the game should have never came down to that. Too many things went wrong with this game to list. First off, you dont lose a 26 point lead, you just dont do it. The ball movement and defense once again looked marvelous in the first period, defense was tough, and the ball was moving, and not sticking with one player. But! Defense has to be played for 48 minutes, not just in the first quarter. We once again became too comfortable with the lead, and we once again played a bit too much one-on-one, and dribbled into traffic a bit too much. There were plenty of moments where Cousins decided to drive it in instead of just shooting an open jumper. Cousins did not miss one jumper, and should have milked it sooner. I believe he only shot two open jumpers, they could have exploited that much more until it forced defenders to respect it, and then Cousins could easily drive the lane. Also, Cousins foul troubles came back to haunt us again. Rudy Gay had a very good game, but late in the second half, he started to dribble a bit much and forcing bad shots. Collison had an overall good game, but Mike Conley had his way with Darren late in the game, cant be too upset, Conley is one of the most underrated Point Guards in the NBA. Ben McLemore once again had a very good game, unfortunately, he missed two key free throws, and if he was instructed to miss the second free throw, then that was the wrong decision. Jason Thompson had his moments of strong defense, but he also had his moments of bonehead decisions. Sessions is starting to become infamous with losing leads, I wouldnt blame anyone that has lost faith in him. The only bright sides I can think of with these two blown leads is that it came against two top playoff contenders that are experienced enough, and good enough to come back from huge deficits. Time to move on to the next game, and it doesnt get any easier, the Kings will be coming back home and will play against the World Champion Spurs this Saturday.
