I thought the movie was good. I thought the book was excellent. This is an article which helped me clarify why I liked the book SO much more. I dont read King anymore, except for his book, On Writing which is one of the better books out there on writing (those who have read more extensively, please direct me further). The books became less and less focused on the internal drama and more on the external evil, mostly depicted more graphically than my brain could manage. Cujo was the the last one I read and I remember little about the characters, just the dog and the drool on the car. From the book, The Shining, the book characters are still clear in my mind, even after having watched the movie. Same with Carrie.
