I thought this posters comment was good too: Ive seen the signs posted in stores, that it is illegal to use someone elses EBT card, but who would know?, merchants arent allowed to ask for ID. Ive worked in several retail stores that have accepted EBT, and am always amazed at what some people pull! I made a comment to a customer who was buying 12 gallons of milk, you must have a large family, her response was no its for my catering business, then she whipped out the EBT card....Wow! Are you kidding me??, A group of teenage girls came into the store, and one told the others, pick out whatever you want, its on me, when it came time to pay, yeah you guessed it, pulled out a EBT card. In another store it isnt unusual for customers to buy $50 or more of Halloween candy to hand out, all paid for with an EBT card. Ive seen customers with multiple EBT cards, Im not sure but that seems like fraud to me. This isnt how any of this is supposed to work! Its to help you purchase healthy, nourishing food for your family! Not run a business, or treat your friends to a junk food fix, or to spend $50 to give out candy for Halloween!
