I thought this was a joke and then I read it on NPR. Moses in American history textbooks?! Will those textbooks also include the fact that John Adams loathed the Catholic church, Thomas Jefferson likened the falseness of Christianity to Greek myth, and that James Madison regarded religion as intellectual shackles, to say nothing of the rest of our true founding fathers beliefs or lack thereof? These zealots think that theyre doing something wonderful, but it is the pathetic death knell of an outmoded way of thinking. I hope I see a return to enlightened thought in my lifetime but that may be wishful thinking.
