I tired not to eat expensive Durian fruit in this country. I - TopicsExpress

I tired not to eat expensive Durian fruit in this country. I went to the Chinese grocery market two times this week to buy lotus seed cake or black bean sweet cake, but some how they are not there for me. Refrigerator full of vegetables and curry at home, I did not intend to buy any more grocery. I walked around and looked at what I might desire to buy. I like to eat fish but at the grocery store, the top shelves have cut fish on ice but at the bottom there were big fish alive in the tank. Although one can give excuse the fish was not intended for me; I do not eat them. I did not buy then. I avoid eating fish for many many years just for that reason. Finally, I arrived to the fruit and vegetable stand. Other vegetables, I have to cook them on the same day. Frozen Durian can wait for me till weekend and I know I am home for the weekend. So I bought one largest durian, approved by other buyer who stood next to me, he said buy that one, it has more seeds. $2.49 per pound, one largest durian fruit at the market cost me $23.25 plus sales tax. I opened the Durian just now; there was no smell, taste less strong, no fly in America, 12 seeds on three plates sitting on my dining room table. I could eat only three pieces. What am I going to do with the other nine durian seeds for the day. If it goes back inside the refrigerator, the taste will be less stronger. I did not eat durian that often. Once at previous hospital where I worked, (1996) I ate durian in my office, that one had very strong odor (sweet smell for us) (Unpleasant for them), my nurse called the safety department for environmental emergency, she thought gas leaking in our building. :D
