I told you I will be back. Yes I am back. I did something interesting, I was in one of the governor’s aide’s house and I intentionally started a discussion that deals with the regime in Kwara State now. I simply asked him a question which is “Are you satisfied with the development of this state?” and he replied me with what you will find below; My brother, hope you are not interrogating me, because I know you don’t support the regime due to their tactics of oppression, am sure you are not recording this, you can’t phyuk your ‘padi’ up now. Well, they are just gang of looters, money launderers and semi-gods who have stopped at nothing in milking Kwara State dry. They have mortgaged the future of Kwara State and sold everything sellable. Can you believe that after the present government came to power, they began to acquire peoples’ lands located in choicest places in Ilorin on the pretext that the government was acquiring them for public benefit, only for the government to reallocate the same lands to their cronies and even resold them to people at higher rates without paying commensurate compensations to the original land owners, in fact a brother of mine lost his land to that. Every investment purportedly made by Kwara government on behalf of Kwarans becomes the ‘ property of the power that be’ soon after their aim of mischief has been achieved. Songa rice project is an example, Kwara football club now Bukola Saraki’s own and also money lent from intercontinental Bank of then The last time the government paid bursary to assist its indigenes in Law school was 2012 January, and that particular payment was made to the 2011 set. Since then, there have been several announcement on Media that the government has approved the said bursary without any ‘CASH BACKING’, you know I am close to law dept, so they also question me on why our regime is messing them up, I always dodge them This is a state where Graduates collect 10,000(an amount that even their children in Nursery schools cannot manage)as monthly salaries, yet they claim they are employing people. The situation is that bad that people who want to work in even University of Ilorin will have to go to the palace of a certain traditional ruler to collect ”Appointment letter”, infact whenever they come to me for help, I render but how many people can I help at a time? It’s been up to 15 years since I saw Tap water gushing out, especially in the local places in Ilorin like Ipata, Gambari, Ojagboro (where one of us lived)Isale Asa etc. Yet it is the same government water tankers that they government officials now use to ”sell” the water that we all should be enjoying as Kwarans. The most disappointing thing is that as close as I am to governor I don’t enjoy water, I also buy. When people talk in my area, they point to my house and say words like, ”that bastard, he has also embezzled our money ”, people think we are all bad because am his aide. Wait are you sure you are not recording this, let me see your phone Okay, now I can talk, wait you have only been listening, what is your own opinion also? I replied and said, ‘all I will say will be sentimental, you know I will support the masses, so I better listen to you who is more close to the governor’ He replied and said, “Listen?” As for me, when I am with people one on one, I tell the truth. I may and may not work with the next regime but I know that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and He shall surely do that in this state this time around. They are jubilating everywhere because they think they don’t have real threats and that it will always be ‘Business as usual’ Can you believe that Local government in this state does not even get up to 30% of the allocation meant for the LG, despite being entitled to the whole money, the question is where does the money go, hence the LGs chairmen end up doing nothing. The councilors don’t even have the ability to empower themselves talk-less of empowering their immediate ward members and we claim we provide for people at grass root. Do you know that distribution of transformer is meant to be done by Local government and not Governor, It just like a Secondary school student offering nursery school subjects and he is proud of it The last time our dear state had a vibrant house of Assembly was 1999-2003! as the subsequent ones have just been mere rubber stamps who even get suspended for very silly reasons, This is a state where all developmental project are concentrated in just a particular city, where other senatorial districts continue to experience infrastructural obituary Wow, I was so touched by his words, and then I asked him this; If this government loose second term election, hope you know your job is gone. He replied with what shocked me; “As a Kwaran, I refuse to continue eating my future, truth is I can get huge money now, but what about the future of my children and grand children WELL I HOPE ALL THIS MAN SAID IS FROM SINCERE HEART AND NOT JUST TO MAKE ME FEEL HE IS A GOOD MAN, BUT IF IT IS TRUE HEART, THEN HE IS A TRUE KWARAN. I know he will hate me for this but I have to make the world know the skeleton in the wardrobe, I REMAIN A TRUE KWARAN
