I too am departing. Mostly because I dont like (or have time for)being on FB very much. One of the things I like the least about FB is memes, but this one sums up another reason. Ill leave you all with this: I am for 2b. I went to Martensen Elementary, WR Jr. and Sr. High. Ive lived here off and on for over 30yrs. I bought a house and invested considerable time and money hoping to see the neighborhood and 38th fulfill its potential. I felt like it was on its way, but I fear all progress will be lost if 2b doesnt pass (Yes, I know its not that black and white). The No on 2b signs say a no vote saves $9.3M. Theyre right... It does save $9.3M today, but how much will be lost? In sales tax? in quality of life for citizens? property values? (are there projections?) Just like Ive invested money into updating my house, WR needs to invest updating 38th in a walkable main street. Im very disappointed that those who oppose cannot see the bigger picture. Main streets work. Its what most families and people want. Its what 38th needs to stay competitive in the larger metro area. Maybe Ill see you around neighbors.
