I took Lucky to the vet this afternoon at 4:30, as planned. He’s now in Heaven. I held him to the last - till his little heart stopped beating. He had a smile on his face and I sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” to him as he slipped away from me. Again, I told him I cannot bear to let him go. I also told him that Sparky and Gucci and all the rest are waiting for him and to wait with them for me, I’ll be along soon enough, too . . . God bless my Lucky Boy. He gave me immeasurable joy and unconditional love and is the #1 Best pup I’ve ever had . . . ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. He was an incredible rescue who had quite a rough start and I am blessed to have had him enhance my life for 16 years. Thank you to all of you who loved him, too . . . he was my family, he and Ginger . . . My heart is absolutely broken. XOXO, Laura
