I took advantage of an afternoon without any commitments to work - TopicsExpress

I took advantage of an afternoon without any commitments to work on a clip from Peyto Lake that I shot in August of 2013. The plan was to shoot the sunset while transitioning to a full night scene and have the moon rise up to light up the entire valley. To pull this off I had to adjust the camera setting on the fly as the raw images were bring shot and then adjust them in post to equalize/ balance out the light. I think it worked out quite well but there appears to be an odd transition of light when the moon comes up over the mountain causing an appearance of a pulsing glow that I tried to equalize. Are there any time lapse / video production peeps that have any feedback/ suggestions on how to deal with the quirky moon light. I used Premiere Pro with a shadow/ highlight adjustment over a few key frames to try and level the light. It worked okay but it introduced a bunch of jpg banding in the sky that I dont know how to correct. For this reason Im guessing that there is a better way?
