I took great umbrage with a fellow amateur astronomer accusing me of writing strange stories. So i would like to siriusly tell the story of mayannaise. It was first developed by the most selfish people of all- the Mayans. They would say the same thing about every possession they owned. Dont touch that, thats mayan! But the greatest achievement of the Mayans was mayannaise. It was made of maize and egg whites and soon spread all over their civilization. When the mayans died out, the formula for mayannaise moved across Mexico to Vera Cruz. In the early 20th century, it was bought by Hellmann, which is an English company. So, in 1912, the first large shipment of mayannaise was shipped from England to Vera Cruz via New York aboard the great ship Titanic, which, unfortunately, sank with forty tons of mayannaise on board. That is why we celebrate Sinka de Mayo!
