> I took in a 9-month old American Pit Bull Terrier on Dec 30 in NYC who was rescued by a homeless man. He was found abandoned, tied to a tire lot fence. The man took him to a non-profit called Collide NYC, which services homeless people and their companion animals. He got the dog neutered and vaccinated, but couldn’t keep him. I was talking to the man, and felt so bad for the dog that I took him home with me with the hopes of finding him a permanent home. I can’t keep this dog - I have 4 cats and my landlord wants him out immediately. I don’t want to take him to Animal Care & Control because I know he will be euthanized and he doesn’t deserve that at all. He is the sweetest, friendliest dog I have met and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. He’s gentle and friendly with my 4 cats, with other dogs, kids and people of all ages. He is not territorial at all and allows people to take food and toys from him without fighting or becoming aggressive. He is housebroken and has a great temperament, but he does have separation anxiety due to being abandoned. I really need to get him to a rescue or foster family asap because my landlord wants him out. If you could help and take him in, it would mean the world to us both. Please give him a second chance at life - he is such a good dog, he just needs the right people to help him find the right home.
