I took much criticism for my criticism of Hogan during the campaign process...criticism that he slapped the local gop in the face by hanging out with Democrats on his first visit to Calvert County and not ensuring members of our central committee where with him during his visit. Of course, many were displeased with my outspoken criticism of him, after all his team had sold us a bill of goods sight unseen and we bought into the hype and certainly I was going against the grain. And now I see all these photos with him smiling side by side with Democrats and appointing Democrats to key positions and I hear all this talk about working together and bipartisanship; and how oh, wow, our economic situation is worse than I thought, my repeal these taxes wont work out like I had promoted crap. Ummm....want my opinion on all this? I shall offer it anyway.... The republican party is so stuck up its own ass that it cannot see straight. I seem to recall one particular local Republican candidate getting a lot of heat because he was spending time with Democrats during the campaign process and yet Hogan was spared this criticism during the same time period. All I can say is that I dont change. I am basically the same person with same beliefs and speak my mind regardless if it is in favor or against any particular party. Yes, I understand the power structure in Annapolis. Yes, I understand Hogan needs Democrat support to be effective. Yes, I realize that the state party and local party should have put more focus on targeted state races like new districts and district seats that were open and not put most of the eggs in one basket with Hogan. If we had done that and potentially won even more seats, perhaps, just perhaps Hogan would not have to put so much emphasis on working together. And one final thought to Republicans across the state and nation...we elected you to not so much work together but to get some shit done and fix this damn mess that the Democratic Party has gotten us into. Democrats refused to work with us for eight years and suddenly want to smile and work together. Right. F you and kiss my ass! Two middle fingers and a couple of broomsticks. Supporting their key people responsible for the mess (like Hogans appointment of the individual that pushed for Common Core in MD - wtf is up with that???) is not going to push us in a new and positive direction. The spending bill fiasco is a disgrace and slap in the face of all Americans. Congress needs their asses kicked and thrown out on the streets. We would not have stood for this back in Washingtons day. We fought to form our own nation over a helluva lot less or have we forgotten about that? Thank you and remember there are times where a couple fingers are very appropriate. This is one such time. Have a nice day.
