I took my oldest daughter C on a daddy/daughter date to see a special quote along screening of the Goonies. You may not know this but Goonies is one of her favorite movies and mine too. Susan Trask Croft helped her with her hair and makeup then I knocked on the door and asked to come in, because a gentleman doesnt sit in the car and honk. I opened her doors for her and talked with her. Basically I treated her the way she should expect a young man to treat her. We got to the theater and there was a special truffle shuffle dance off. They asked for 3 volunteers but no one jumped up so I asked C if she wanted to. She said she did so she stood up and raised her hand. After people saw a little girl get up first some other people volunteered. C did a great job and got second place which made her very excited. She enjoyed the movie and yelled out several of the quotes. It was a great time and I really hope in a few years she remembers this is how you have a fun time. You step out of your seat and act silly. You give it your best and get excited about second place. You yell and laugh and talk. You dont have to make out, you dont have to be treated like crap, you respect yourself and drop any date that doesnt respect you.
