I took our newest dog to see Dr Andy today. As much as we pride ourselves one not telling folks we are a rescue, this time we were. I got this old gal from the shelter yesterday. She is skin over bones and had this gross thing hanging from her chest. She had that removed today as well as a suspicious lump on her back investigated. The lump turned out to be Melodys psoas muscle all bunched up in a constant spasm. No mass but a REALLY bad back, lots of arthritis and osteophytes that are fusing her vertebrae together. We are starting her on some muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories and laser treatment once her surgery sites heal. We will see if acupuncture is an option after a few laser treatments
