I took the day off from FB on 09-11-13. Our old family friend, TOM passed around 9am on Wednesday, and it was quite sad. We had him or he had us, since January 2000, when our son, Yasha brought him home from an Iowa farm for his sister Amari. He was part of our family for all this time and we loved him, and will miss him. He was British Shorthair with a BLUE (beautiful grey velvety coat). He had the loudest PURRR of any cat I have ever been around...You could hear him purring from across the room Here is a short clip from Animal Planet about the British Shorthair. I surely would recommend this breed of cat to anyone looking for a great family pet!!! God bless you, Tom.
