I took the local bus from Algeciras to La Linea de Conception today and then walked over the border to Gibraltar today. I meet more locals by taking the regular bus and save cash too (it only cost e2.40 for the 45 minute drive) :-) Gibraltar is more British than the UK - with red phone boxes all over the place and loads of British and Gib flags hanging out of windows. Offers of Fish and Chips and Full English (breakfast) on every corner. They must have a tax free thing there too because the shopping street was like an airline duty free place with perfume, liquor and jewelry to the fore... No sight of the recent border dispute today. And lots of the people working in Gib had Spanish accents - even two of the "British bobbies" I overhead having a chat in Spanish!
