I totally disagree with the paradigm against youth groups. However, I do agree that for many, it has become simply a focus of getting the numbers, with little concern for discipleship or answering the sincere questions that young people have. If a youth program will focus first on their youth being impacted and transformed by the Word and Spirit of God, addressing the particular questions, problems, and concerns that young people today face from a Biblically solid foundation, and bring their youth into a close relationship and walk with God, they will grow and produce a new generation which knows the Lord. Coupled with this it is essential to provide youth with activities that allow them time for fellowship and interaction in a positive setting, allowing interaction outsde of church with youth leaders that have a heart for God and for the youth. In such a setting decisions will be made, fellowship with God and others will be developed, and many will be called to and begin their first steps in ministry in the body of Christ.
