I totally hate the spice, Cumin! My daughter and I are on a health kick and are buying organic foods, spices, etc. We got a recipe for Chicken Chili which required one tablespoon of Cumin; and from the moment I applied it to the chili, I knew we were in trouble. My kitchen smelled of it and I could not get past that smell when I tried to eat the chili! I then proceeded to dump in 2 jars of marinara sauce and extra chili powder to try and overcome the smell and taste of cumin. What purpose does this spice serve anyone? It smells and tastes totally disgusting. My kitchen smells of it still! We still have a half a pot of chili left with this disgusting cumin in it. Any suggestions as how to further obliterate its smell and taste? I would hate to have to throw out the leftovers but I will if I have to!
