I totally support reducing the grant to Main street Zephyrhills and support hiring a CRA director. And Councilman Proctor is right, these organizations need to be weaned off of city funds and need to become more self reliant. If they cant do that with their current method of operation, maybe they need to reorganize and execute a new game plan that allows a lower operating cost. I believe there is a much better use for CRA funds, like small grants for small business owners to improve their store fronts, get better equipment...supporting non profit youth organizations that drastically need help in keeping our kids safe and active.
