I totally understand and fully agree with the assertion that indeed promises MUST not be made if can’t be delivered. However, I have noticed that we are generally stuck between Me&You and many of us are not looking at the things above personal interests and affiliation. We are digging on small issues and not addressing the bigger monsters in issues. When NAWAZ SHERRIFF promised to have things improved upon winning the elections because he got, so called, an experienced team, he did not deliver, when NAWAZ SHERRIFF promised that he will fix energy issue (mainly load shedding) in just few months, he did not deliver and actually backtracked on his words, when NAWAZ SHERRIFF promised to have education reaching to its height, he did not deliver and not even a single university came in to being except laptops where they allegedly made 50% on each laptop, when NAWAZ SHERRIFF promised to have country economy reducing reliance on external loans, he actually increased foreign loans burden, When NAWAZ SHERRIFF told the nation that he was going to drag Zardari on roads to snatch nation all stolen money from him, yet he invited him to his house with 70 different type of foods in reception while seeking his help, etc. The list can go on , go on, and go on. NAWAZ SHERRIFF does not have any principles and that is extremely dangerous for the country. So on one side we have NAWAZ SHERRIFF who himself had told the nation that he got experienced people and after 16 months of power in centre and 7 years of previous power in Punjab, has NOT delivered. Whereas on other side, we have IMRAN KHAN who told the nation that he had young people without any experience, but he delivered to whatever he could within the limits and constraints of terrorism, etc. Look at the quality of their promises. In leadership, the things, which make difference are: looking at the bigger picture through strategic thinking, setting the right vision, selecting the right people to form delivery team, motivate the team to succeed, keep people informed, and not making false commitments. In my humble opinion, we have already seen and experienced Nawaz and Zardari. I do not understand the reason for Pakistani people to why on earth, they keep on testing the tested ones. That is extremely dangerous for their own children future and generations to come. May Allah give us the wisdom to think and do the right things above and beyond our personal inters and affiliation (Aameen)
