I totally understand that Ray Rices wife wants her privacy with this ordeal. But she needs to understand something. This situation is to set an example for all others in the NFL that violence against women is not tolerable AT ALL. Rice deserves to face consequences for what he has done. And though somewhat irrelevant, you married an NFL player, and though you too deserve your privacy, the reality of it is (for good and bad) that NFL players are watched closely because people idolize them. I hope Rice receives the help he needs to correct this kind of behavior and that those in the NFL finally realize that this behavior will not be tolerated in an environment where so many children look up to those who play on Sundays.
